On the second photo, you can just about see the domes of Notre-Dame church.

This night time shot is so festive. I want to walk that street.

I love all the lights drooping across the street. But what I love most is how lively this street is. Here our downtown goes to sleep after the workers go home.

Very festive even if very cold! Lots of people out and about it would appear. Nice night shots, Ciel. Again, you must have very steady hands!

I like how the lights are strung and the alternating colors. The stars add a nice touch.

I love seeing cities dressed up for the holidays.

Real men DO wear pink.

Are all areas decorated so nicely or just certain parts? We don't see much street decoration here, although people have really taken to "lighting" up their homes!

I like this time of year with the cold dark evenings, the Christmas lights, and then to come home and "cwtch" up in the warm. [ a bit of Welsh for you there].

I can feel the hustle and bustle of shoppers going to and fro trying to finish their all errands. Love that first shot -- very festive!

Bonjour!

Re your comment on Florida Fotos: It is an old photo, scanned. I do believe, however, that nothing has changed.

The "Open" sign is necessary because if there is bad weather or high seas with rip currents or sharks about, they shut these places down - in fact, sometimes they will shut down the beaches for swimming.

Hope you're having a great day!

Versailles looks as if it does Christmas very well. xxxx

Your streets are in charming holiday spirit... and you remind me I need to go out and capture the light here too. If only I didn't dread the pre-xmas shopping traffic... it's insane.

You really know how to make me long for a European Christmas, don't you? :(
