That's a lot of nails!!

Nails as in hammer and nail or fingernail? Considering the upheavals of the last 212 years, theirs is a remarkable achievement.

Are we talking nails as hammer and nails or a place for manicures?

This is not the kind of business that I would expect to have longevity of more than two centuries.

@ all nails as in hammer & nails.

Looks a beautiful and "modern"facade in this store.
I couldn't imagine a whole shop in focus of nail.Very interesting!

*** my English is awful, anyway I understood 'nail', that thin pointed piece of metal, isn't it?

My first reaction is that's not possible! 1744? Good grief. This country didn't exist then!

I think they must have the knowledge of how to run a "hardware" store pretty well nailed down by now!

Loree said...

Oh wow. Is that all they have sold for over 200 years? ;)

EG CameraGirl said...

Wow! That store was founded at about the same time my village was!

Since 1799, that's just so cool.

Wait, is that the same shop you told me to take a picture of?

@ T. Becque: could be, it's opposite the 'éclair pâtisserie', I don't really remember!
